1. What is a dieta?
A dieta is a sacred commitment and a deep spiritual initiation. Its purpose is to build a direct relationship with the intelligence of a Master Plant. For eight days we set aside the distractions of modern life, such as salt, sugar, fat and social interaction, so that your body and mind become a clean vessel for healing and for receiving the wisdom of your plant teacher.
2. When and where is it?
November 2nd – 10th, 2026 and May 11th – 19th, 2027, at Casa Kula in Tzununá, Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. Each dieta includes 8 nights at Casa Kula.
3. What is included?
8 nights stay at Casa Kula, dieta customized meals daily, the opening and closing of your dieta, 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies, twice daily plant medicine, a lemongrass purge, medicine harvesting & preparation, bay leaf reading, song study, plant baths and integration support.
4. What will I eat?
We prepare dieta customized meals for you every day. During the dieta we set aside salt, sugar and fat.
5. How much of the time is spent in silence?
Due to the quiet nature of Dieta, the majority of our time will be in silence and isolation.
6. How do I choose my plant?
You will work with Ananda to determine which plant is the right choice for you: Bobinsana, Rose or Planta de la Vida (Lechero Africano). Rose can be dieted together with Bobinsana. Read more about each plant on the Dieta page.
7. Are the plants psychoactive?
Bobinsana, Rose and Planta de la Vida are all non-psychoactive. The dieta also includes 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies.
8. How do I get to Casa Kula?
Casa Kula is in the village of Tzununá on Lake Atitlán. Any Tzununá tuk-tuk (motor taxi) will know the way. If you are coming from San Marcos, ask for “Casa Curativa”, our closest neighbor. Once dropped off, we are a 1 minute walk from the road. There are photos to help you find our door on our arrival page.
9. How much does it cost?
Shared room $1,150 USD · Tambo room $1,350 USD · Private room $1,550 USD.
10. How do I register and pay?
Register online, choose your dates and room, then choose how to pay: card (3% fee), a 6-month card payment plan, Wise or bank transfer. Your place is held as pending until we receive and verify your payment, then we email to confirm.
11. Do you offer payment plans or financial support?
Yes. You can choose a 6-month card payment plan when you register, and financial support is available upon request. Message Coby to ask.
