Washuma Ceremony

with CobAnanda

Thank you for your interest in working with the beautiful plant medicine of Washuma, also called San Pedro Cactus. We've been working with this beautiful spirit for literally decades and truly believe in its ability to transform. It's an incredible honor to hold this alter and serve this medicine. Below we've laid out a bit of information about the cactus as well as how our ceremony is held. If you have any doubts, concerns or questions, please let us know using the form below. 🌵🙏

What to expect...

We hesitate to share too much about the effects of Washuma, as it can vary greatly from person to person. So, without going into too much detail, people generally find Washuma to be a very euphoric experience, profoundly connecting them to mother nature and their primal selves. Our nervous system tends to slow down, our minds calm, and we can begin to observe life without so much analysis and "monkey mind". A Washuma Day can be a profound vacation from your self and is often described as "the best day ever!"... With that said, not everyone who works with Washuma immediately experiences this. Sometimes we have healing and cleansing work to do that doesn't always feel good. But we surrender and trust that Washuma is Medicine and here for our highest good.

The Schedule...

Don't get too attached as things often shift and flow when we open a ceremony, but the intention is as follows... We begin by gathering on the platform at Casa Kula at 8:30am. At this time we will discuss the flow of the day, share opening prayers and consume our first cup of medicine. After a short break, we will depart from the property for a hike into the mountains where we will set up Basecamp near a beautiful chain of waterfalls. Basecamp is where we will continue to hold the prayer. At this point, a second cup of medicine will be offered and the space will be held in silence with occasional musical prayers. After an extend period of time, during which time all are invited to bathe in the waterfalls, we make our way down the mountain where we regather on the platform of Casa Kula for a final serving of medicine followed by a sound journey. As the sun begins to set, we make our way into the sauna for our closing prayers. As we depart the sauna we are treated to a plant bath that's intended to close down our energetic space at which point we gather for dinner.
